Additional Bio information on the shows: About Incendio: Incendio brings world fusion jazz driven by Spanish guitars and a wide background of musical talent from over seven internationally-sold CD’s on display. Different genres ranging from Celtic to classical, flamenco to Jazz rock, and echoes of other lands may be heard in Incendio’s music, which has been used on The History Channel, A & E, and Showtime. Incendio's richly textured music is rooted in myriad sources: Carbé's flamenco and classical guitar training as well as her Sicilian ancestry, Durand's Peruvian heritage, Stubblefield's European travels and musical collaborations with Kuwaiti oud maestro Waleed Hamad, not to mention Durand's penchant for rock-style dramatics and Stubblefield's lightning-fingered jazz-fusion mastery. About the Zydeco Flames: The Zydeco Flames have gained a reputation as the West Coast's premiere Zydeco band, and bring that feel-good music from the Louisiana Bayou complete with washboard, accordion, and fun vocals. The Zydeco Flames consistently pack the house in venues ranging from contemporary clubs to major festivals and traditional dancehalls. Their sizzling roots rhythms are timeless and the execution of them relentless, with a stunningly powerful groove. The Flames' sixth CD release "Fire It Up", provides fans with hot Zydeco in the tradition of masters like Clifton Chenier, Buckwheat Zydeco and Queen Ida. About The Purple Ones (Insatiable Prince Tribute): Oakland California's The Purple Ones treat the music and patented vibe of Prince with the utmost respect, capturing the essence of what it was like to see Prince live. The musical dexterity of The Purple Ones - with 11 pieces on stage including a full horn section – delivers Prince's material live onstage in a way that has to be experienced to be believed. The Purple Ones bring audiences to their feet, night after night, by speaking Prince's musical language: energy, rhythm, creativity and of course...a serious dose of funk. The Purple Ones tap into that soulful artistry like none other. Juan Escovedo (brother of Sheila E. and percussionist who toured with Prince in the 80’s) has been known to appear with The Purple One’s. Founder Morty Okin “The New Morty Show” is joined by former music director and co-founder of New Power Generation, multi-instrumentalist Levi Seacer, Jr., who co-produced and wrote material with Prince from 1986 – 1993. In the wake of Prince's untimely passing, this group of funky pros are more determined than ever to honor his past by playing his hits, B-sides and deep cuts live in a world class show that is, in the words of Prince himself, "nothin' but a party!’ Luis Muñoz Jazz Quintet and Téka: Luis Muñoz, composer, arranger, producer and percussionist, was born in San José, Costa Rica. Luis Munoz latest album, VOZ, is receiving high accolades, with 4-stars from Downbeat Magazine and “Best Latin Jazz CD of the Year” by Mike West, JazzTimes Magazine. In December, 2015, Luis Muñoz was chosen as one of NPR’s Alt.Latino “12 Favorite Artists of the Year.” Muñoz will be touring in 2016 with his New Quintet featuring Téka, both, nationally and abroad, in support of his latest album, “VOZ”. Luis Muñoz is a music visionary, and one of the today’s most sensitive, melodic and talented Jazz composers. Téka, a fabulous Brazilian singer/guitarist, returns after having previously performed for the SLO Symphony, 2014 SLO Jazz Festival, and the Fall 2015 Blame It On The Bossa Nova Party fundraiser for the jazz festival last year.
